I found out about Michael after bumping into some folks on a ride a few years back and seeing a couple of bikes he had painted. I made a mental note that if I ever wanted something custom to reach out to him. Sadly, that day arrived when I lost my wife to cancer and decided to have a “celebration of life” bike painted in her memory. The initial concept was to use one of her favorite dresses as the pattern for the entire bike, but after several consultations with Michael to fine tune the concept and really hone in on what I wanted the bike to express, we ended up with what I think is one of the most amazing paint jobs out there. Michael was fantastic to work with. He does a great job explaining the process, and his graphic design background was invaluable as I flooded him with iconography and design concepts. He really helped to keep the design from getting too extreme, and the end result is fantastic. I regularly get stopped and complimented on it. On top of this, he’s a totally cool and chill guy to work with. Cannot recommend highly enough (or wait to settle on a new frame for a commission!)
